Can you wax trap that were dyed with speed dip?

what iv been told is no because thats what i wanted to do because speed dip is so much easier than boiling traps to dye them, i think you get a better coat when you speed dip them than dye.
also its cheaper and doesnt take a long time to get one coat on 12 traps

you can wax a dipped trap but ya really don't need it
